William L. Sunday received a B.S. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania in 1948. He graduated from the Dickinson School of Law in 1950 and became a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association in 1951. Bill started practicing law in 1951. He specializes in municipal law, wills, trusts, estate planning and taxes.

Bill has been a member of the Cumberland County Bar Association since 1951 and was the President in 1977. He was a Cumberland County Board of Review Member from 1958-1990, solicitor for Silver Spring Township from 1959-1962, solicitor for Monroe Township from 1960-1962, solicitor for Mechanicsburg Borough from 1962-2002 and solicitor for Upper Allen Township from 1968-1975. He has also been a member of the Upper Allen Township Authority from 1969-1977 and a member of the Mechanicsburg Area School Board from 1961-1973. He served as the school board president from 1964-1965 and again from 1970-1972. Bill was also a proprietor of the Union Church from 1972-2001 and was the president from 1994-2001.

The Borough of Mechanicsburg honored Bill for 40 years of service as its solicitor by the dedication of the "William L. Sunday Council Chambers" in 2002. In 2001, the Pennsylvania Superior Court and the Cumberland County Bar Association honored Bill for 50 Years of membership.

Bill is still practicing law with his son and daughter Dawn. He has two grandchildren. He daughter Dawn. He has two grandchildren. He enjoys watching Penn State Football, golf and all types of sports.
